• Philodendron ‘Birkin’ falls in between these extremes. For comparison, think ‘Prince of Orange,’ an upright-growing philodendron with colorful foliage. Over time, ‘Birkin’ may even demonstrate a little of that philodendron climbing heritage too, but you won’t need to reach for a trellis any time soon

• The Birkin is more of an indoor cat than an outdoor tiger. It can handle some mild morning sun, but by the time the sun hits high noon, it’s best to have your Birkin chilling in the shade or filtered light. Keep it less than 6 feet from a south-facing window, and you’re golden – or rather, variegated
